CORE TEAM

Our entire team brings a collective experience in nonprofit management and leadership, collaborative partnerships, communications, research, and evaluation and has served organizations nationwide, helping them achieve greater impact in communities.

THOUGHT LEADERS

To meet our clients’ needs, we have assembled a diverse team of partners from across the country, all recognized and respected in multiple disciplines and areas of interest. This team fills a critical role for 1000 Feathers, allowing us to seamlessly expand capacity for projects that require additional bandwidth and subject matter expertise. While our Core Team is involved at some level on every project, you may also interact with one of our Thought Leaders along the way – all of whom are equally committed to our core promises and vision.

PREFERRED PARTNERS

We believe no single consulting firm can do it all. Occasionally, we come upon needs - of clients and communities - that are outside of our area(s) of expertise. We promise to always admit to you when that is the case and never hesitate to reach out to other firms and consultants we trust and respect. Above all else, making referrals to Preferred Partners is our opportunity to get you the help you need by connecting you to those we learn from every single day.

IN MEMORIAM

Tameka Youlonda Bell (1977 – 2021)

Our 1000 Feathers family lost a beautiful, kind, and loving soul in January of 2021. Tameka Bell was a part of the 1000 Feathers team since day one and worked alongside Forrest and Cayci for more than 10 years, dating back to their time together at the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. Tameka was much more than our colleague; she was a dear friend for many, many years. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with her parents, siblings, family, and friends; like us, each of them undoubtedly created bonds that were strong and love that will last forever. No matter how long or short your time with Tameka on this earth was, if your paths crossed, you know just how special she was. We think of her often and continue to miss her grace, commitment, passion, humor, and southern charm – Tameka spoke “fluent McCormick” and would never let you forget it. Her smile would light up a room, her presence calming even in the most trying times, and her ability to keep Forrest grounded and in his place was unlike any other. While we miss her terribly, Tameka will forever and always be a part of our team and our family.
