Bridgeway Village: proof of what’s possible when we work together

We were honored to attend yesterday’s press event for Bridgeway Village because it marked an important milestone in Spartanburg County’s efforts to address homelessness. This new 14-unit, Tiny Home development is the result of an intentional, deeply collaborative process between A Place to Call Home, First Baptist Spartanburg, the City of Spartanburg, and Homes of Hope—a partnership that proves what’s possible when faith, government, and nonprofit partners come together around a shared vision.

Funded in part by the City of Spartanburg through ARPA funds, and supported by volunteers and donations from First Baptist Spartanburg, Bridgeway Village will provide one- and two-bedroom homes for women rebuilding their lives. With on-site support services provided by A Place to Call Home, the Village represents more than just affordable housing—it’s a pathway toward stability.

Opening in spring 2026, Bridgeway Village will serve women referred through local partners who can stay for up to 24 months as they work toward greater independence. With 84% of single mothers in Spartanburg County struggling to meet basic needs, this project is both timely and transformational.

As one speaker shared, “When we invest in our people, we truly get the greatest return.” Yesterday’s event was a celebration of partnership—and a reminder that no single organization can solve homelessness alone.
