Forrest Alton Appointed to TNN Board
We’re excited to share that Forrest Alton, President and Co-founder of 1000 Feathers, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Nonprofit Network, effective July 1.
Forrest Alton, President and Co-founder
The Tennessee Nonprofit Network is a statewide organization dedicated to supporting, strengthening, and advocating for Tennessee’s nonprofit sector. Forrest joins a dynamic group of leaders from across the state who bring deep experience and a shared commitment to advancing meaningful change in communities.
“It’s an honor to be invited to serve in this role,” said Forrest. “The nonprofit sector is not just vital to the health of our communities—it’s often the heart of innovation and systems change. I’m proud to contribute in a way that helps elevate the voices and impact of nonprofit organizations across Tennessee.”
Forrest will serve alongside fellow board members representing a range of organizations and communities across the state. His selection reflects both his leadership in the field and his longstanding commitment to building stronger, healthier communities through strategy, storytelling, and partnership.
“At 1000 Feathers, we believe change is possible when we work together. That’s what excites me most about joining this board,” Forrest added. “It’s an opportunity to collaborate with others who are just as passionate about building capacity, scaling impact, and creating space for bold ideas.”
Forrest has served in similar leadership roles in South Carolina, including as Board Chair of Together SC, where he helped elevate the organization’s influence and strengthen the collective voice of the state’s nonprofit sector.
We look forward to the perspective Forrest will bring to the Tennessee Nonprofit Network—and to the new connections and conversations this opportunity will spark.
